THE RIVER GUADIARO

With a sandbar that accumulates the sediments of the river Guadiaro and reduces its mouth to a small channel, the northeast end of the Playa de Sotogrande beach, it consists of a wetland that houses a great diversity of fauna and flora. On the other hand, the southwest area backs onto the Sotogrande gated community with several accesses that start from the streets of the gated community towards the beach.

The Sotogrande gated community consists of residential complexes of terraced single-family homes surrounded by green areas, golf clubs, including three of the best courses in Europe, courts and polo schools, with one of the most important major clubs of the world, where trials are held for the polo world championship, and equestrian arenas. It also has hotels, shops, restaurants, beach clubs and a marina.
