Next to the golf course in the la Alcaidesa gated community, which can be accessed from exit 124 of the Mediterranean motorway, is the stretch of the La Alcaidesa beach belonging to the municipality of San Roque. Molded by the "Punta Mala" salient, its peculiar morphology increases the attractiveness of this area of the coast. To reach the main access to the beach, you must start from the avenue Avda. del Golf until you reach a service lane that connects with the Carbonera tower, an ancient beacon tower converted into a lighthouse.

The area near the Playa Punta Mala beach salient is known as Playa del Faro, its environment remains natural, vegetation of the Mediterranean forest being preserved at the rear.
