Leaving the La Luz highway and Conil de la Frontera, taking the CA-215, one can see the Playa de El Palmar on the horizon, a strip of sand that follows the seashore as far as the eye can see. It is an interminable stretch of beach backed by sand dunes covered with vegetation and plots of land with extensive agriculture. Its rough water and steeply sloping bottom create perfect conditions for surfing, making El Palmar an enclave for competitions and the practice of this sport.

Around the tower, on the promenade, there are different restaurants and shops where many people meet to enjoy the sunset.
